What is the Ron Fletcher Program of Study®?
The Ron Fletcher Program of Study® Comprehensive Program is designed to give participants a thorough understanding of the complete Fletcher lineage of the Pilates method and to instill an understanding of how to teach this work to others. The full range of Pilates apparatus and Matwork is incorporated, as well as the signature Fletcher Towelwork®, Spine Corrector and Percussive Breath™ technique.mities;
What are the pre requisites?
Because it is essential that participants learn and know the Fletcher Pilates® technique in their own bodies before attempting to learn to teach this work to others, students are required to complete at least 30 private and / or semi-private sessions, and 30 group class, seminar or workshop hours with a Qualified Fletcher Teacher, Facilitator or Faculty member before entering the Comprehensive Program of Study. The Fletcher Pilates® Program Overview (described below) may count towards 30 of the required group class hours. The full prerequisite student process generally takes three to six months.
How do I apply to the Program?
You may proceed to submit the application form to the Ron Fletcher Company. While it is being processed, the entrance evaluation and interview will be scheduled between iPilates and the student. This is to advise and prepare the student to enter into the Program.
Upon acceptance to the Program, you will be notified on the payment schedule for the Program. See Program Fee below, which will be paid to iPilates for Singapore.
How do I prepare to enter the Program?
It is essential to go through a student process to learn the work in your own body before entering a process to learn to teach this technique to others. We strongly suggest that you take at least 30 private sessions and at least 50 semi-private, group class, seminar or workshop hours with a Qualified Fletcher Teacher before entering the program. We provide logs to track your pre-requisite hours once you apply to the Program of Study.
Do I need to take a formal Fletcher Pilates® Program Overview?
Ideally, yes. Our Program Overview provides the most efficient and cost-effective means of reviewing the material covered in the Comprehensive Program. These Programs are offered through our Fletcher Facilitators and Faculty members and involve a preparatory course designed to give students an overview of the program, from a student point of view. If you do not live near a Fletcher Facilitator or Faculty member, you may prepare to enter the Comprehensive Program through study with any of our Qualified Fletcher Teachers.
What is a Fletcher Facilitator and do I need one?
Along with Fletcher Faculty members, our Fletcher Facilitators prepare students to enter the Program of Study and mentor students through the Program, from application through student teaching. If you are already in study with a Fletcher Teacher, a Facilitator can guide your teacher to help you through the Program of Study process. Fletcher Pilates® Overview Programs are available exclusively through our Fletcher Faculty and Facilitators.
